Mobility Week in Dison - full programme

As part of Mobility Week, which will take place from September 16 to 22, the Municipality of Dison, through its mobility service, has planned several activities to promote sustainable mobility.

Saturday, September 7 - Starting at 1:00 PM: A prevention workshop on the fight against alcohol and drugs while driving will be held during the "Youth Festival" event, organized by the Municipality in partnership with the Cultural Center and the Meeting Space. Location: Heureuse School (Rue de Verviers 310, 4821 Dison).

Sunday, September 8 - Starting at 9:30 AM: Join the annual summer bike ride organized by the City of Verviers, in collaboration with the ASBL Jeunesse et Sports. Departure at 10:00 AM from Field A in Andrimont (Avenue du Centre 248, 4821 Andrimont).

Monday, September 16 - Starting at 9:30 AM: To officially kick off Mobility Week, the ASBL Fedemot, in partnership with the Senior Advisory Council, will organize a road code refresher course specifically for the seniors of the Municipality. Location: Chapuis Room of the Espace Tremplin - Rue du Moulin 30B, 4820 Dison - 2 groups: from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM.

Tuesday, September 17 - Starting at 8:00 AM: The environmental service will be present at the weekly market to distribute "My Bike" stickers, which can be registered on-site. Location: Esplanade de la Libération.

Saturday, September 21 - 9:30 AM: A traffic bike training session will be offered to 5 Dison citizens, based on the order of registration: participants will learn the rules and reflexes needed to ride a bike safely within a few hours. Registration can be done here. Meet at Saint Fiacre Church at 9:30 AM with your bike. A special bike Repair Café will be organized by the Social Cohesion Plan from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, offering repairs for bikes and scooters. Location: Espace Solid’R, Rue Léopold 36.

Finally, a recruitment campaign will be organized to join the research and action group of daily cyclists of Verviers (GRACQ). Their goal is to create the conditions for everyone who wants to cycle to be able to do so under the best possible conditions.
